Applied Human Nutrition

Introduction

The ANP is a teaching and research programme in the department of Food Science Nutrition and Technology. This is an internationally recognized interdisciplinary MSc. degree designed to train Public Health Nutritionists in Africa and other developing countries. The course is designed to help trainees deal  with the multifaceted nature of nutritional problems. It incorporates science and technology topics that aid in understanding of malnutrition and its consequences (health, social &economic) and the methods of alleviating nutritional problems directly or through influencing policy decisions. This program was incepted in 1985.
