Department of Food Science, Nutrition and Technology University of Nairobi (UoN) and University of Free State (UFS are currently involved in a collaborative research project on household maize fermentation. This project is funded by respective National Research commission and involves the different products and technologies in the two countries. The two year project that officially begun this year accords opportunity for researchers to meet and formulate the project roadmap and valid execution activities. Dr. Abong’ visited UFS for close discussion with research team in South Africa as well as exploring possible analytical project work.
