Following on the heels of the execution of the 5th Knowledge exchange and technical visits to Uganda, the SPIRIT project held its 5th coordination meeting at Makerere University, Department of Food Science and Technology. The aim of this meeting was to review the activities developed in the past second year of the SPIRIT project and also plan the activities to be executed the third and final year of the project. Issues concerning financial justification and required clarifications were discussed and remedial actions agreed upon to ensure proper running of the last year smoothly. On the other hand, members discussed the planning and structure of the last year’s activities and specific dates for the final knowledge exchange event on processing agreed to be in Kenya.
