Principal CAVS giving open address to SPIRIT participants
The current meeting brought together members of the SPIRIT Consortium as well as the members of the “East Africa Potato Research and Knowledge Exchange Forum” and key stakeholders involved in potato processing sub-sector. The meeting was officially opened by Principal of College of Agriculture and Veterinary Scinces, Prof. S.G. Kiama accompanied by the associate dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. M.W. Okoth and Chairman, Department of Food Science, Nutrition and Technology, Prof. W. Kogi-Makau. Members of the consortium were drawn from the project countries such as Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Spain. Dr. G.O. Abong from the Department of Food Science, Nutrition and Technology, is the coordinator of the SPIRIT project in Kenya.
