Youth Employment and Skills Development Pilot Project

The African Development Bank (AfDB) is pleased to inform you that the University of Nairobi has been selected, among a few African universities, to participate in a Youth Employment and Skills Development Pilot Project. In collaboration with LinkedIn Learning, the project plans to provide free employment-relevant online training to randomly selected students.

IAFP Announces 2020 Student Travel Scholarship Recipients

Mr. Duke Gekonge Omayio , a Phd student and a part-time Lecturer from the Department of Food Science, Nutrition, and Technology is among the 20 international student travel grant awardees to attend this years’ International Association of Food Protection (IAFP) Conference in Cleaveland, Ohio - United States of America. Mr. Gekonge is undertaking a Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology under the Fruits and Vegetables for all Seasons project (FruVaSe, 2018-2021)  The Department congratulates him for this achievement and wishes him all the best.

Solar drying and processing of Moringa Powder

Dr. C.N. Kunyanga  designed and installed  a solar dyrer for production of Moringa powder in Malindi. The farmers  in this area are happy for this project will help them process moringa powder and sell .

Moringa Powder has a delicious spinachy green flavour, perfect for boosting curries, stews, casseroles, soups, salads, green smoothies and more. Moringa is:
