Student Mentorship

DEPARTMENT OF FOOD SCIENCE, NUTRITION AND TECHNOLOGY (DFSNT) STUDENT MENTORSHIP

DFSNT takes keen interest in development of undergraduate and postgraduate students. Key aspect of this development includes mentorship. For the undergraduate programmes, we have academic members of staff allocated a class that they mentor running from 1st year to 4th year. Therefore, for our two programmes, we have 8 classes and hence 8 mentors. The mentors engage students on their academic, social and cultural issues that may affect their progression. Cases they aren’t able to handle are referred to chairman and assistant dean of students.
