HORTIGREEN PROJECT CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP ON SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION AND CONSUMPTION (SCP), GREEN FINANCING AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS DIAKONIA RESORT KABONDO, HOMA BAY, 15TH NOVEMBER 2019

The workshop was held at the Diakonia Resort Conference Center Hall. The session began at 9:00 a.m. led by Dr. George Abong’ who is the coordinator of the project from the University of Nairobi. Formal introductions were done by the participants to the project team thereafter, the participants were briefed on the workshop materials. The training focused on the following:

1. Water and energy use efficiency in horticultural processing
2. Waste management strategies and Environmental Management Systems
3. Green financing of horticultural processing MSMEs
