During the 2026 Nairobi Innovation Week, held under the theme “Youth-Driven Solutions for a Sustainable Future,” students from the Department of Food Science, Nutrition and Technology joined other innovators in showcasing their innovative products and solutions.

The University of Nairobi has formally installed Eng. Prof. Ayub N. Gitau as its 9th Vice-Chancellor.

The Installation Ceremony was held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Taifa Hall, Main Campus, The colourful ceremony marked a significant milestone in the history of the University and was conducted in accordance with the University's statutes, traditions, and established protocols.

The University of Nairobi, Faculty of Agriculture & Faculty of Business and Management Sciences as we officially launched “Strengthening Higher Institutional Agriculture and Food Training – Kenya-France” (SHIFT KF) Project at the Upper Kabete Campus.
