STUDENT MENTORSHIP

Dr. Carolyn Kemto Nyamasege

The department of Food Science Nutrition and Technology hold a virtual career talk with students, the invited guest was Dr. Carolyn Kemunto Nyamasege. 

Dr. Nyamasege is  a Kenyan citizen currently residing in Japan after her recent PhD graduation from the University of Tsukuba, Department of Clinical Trials and Clinical Epidemiology. Her PhD research focused on improving maternal and child nutrition outcomes in urban slums of Nairobi through nutrition education and counselling from pregnancy to five years after birth. She has  Masters of Public Health from the same university.She is also  an alumni of the University of Nairobi after completing her MSc in Applied Human Nutrition and BSc in Food Nutrition and Dietetics from the same university. She currently working on joining a special postdoc position offered at the  University in Japan.
