Prof. C. Kunyanga, the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, led a team of researchers on a courtesy visit to the Dean of the Faculty. The team is currently collecting poultry and environmental samples from Burma Market as part of a food safety project titled “Wet Markets as ‘Amplifiers’ of Antimicrobial-Resistant Pathogens in Nairobi, Kenya: Building the Evidence Base for Targeted Interventions to Protect Human Health.” This collaborative research initiative involves the University of Nairobi, Fresh Life, and the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University in the United States.
