BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN FOOD NUTRITION AND DIETETICS

The University of Nairobi has been offering the Bachelor of Science in Food,Nutrition and Dietetics since 2006. The programme has maintained its competitiveness as demonstrated by increased demand, evidenced by the risingnumber of students’ enrolment against a decreasing demand for some courses. The Programme lays a good foundation for the world of work, research, and advanced learning across diverse fields. It imparts practical knowledge and skills in food, nutrition and dietetics.

23rd Codex Africa Coordinating committee

The opening session was graced by the Deputy President of Kenya, HE. Dr William Ruto. Dr Abong who is a member of the Codex regional organizing committee has been actively involved in standards development in which he chairs and is a member of several technical committees at the Kenya Bureau of Standards. He also represented the Food Science and Technology Platform of Kenya (FoSTeP-K) being the current chairman.
