DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY IN FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

The Department of Food Science, Nutrition and Technology has been offering the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Food Science and Technology by research and thesis since late 1970s.  Candidates choose their research topics in any of the specialised areas of food science and technology such as food chemistry, food microbiology, food process engineering and food technology.  Throughout the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s only a few students graduated under this degree programme.  There has however been a marked increase
